Shawn Fry, MBA is the founder and CEO of Prevalent.  He brings over 20 years of experience as  a former hospital administrator (CIO) and comprehensive IT background in technology innovation, systems architecture, software development for healthcare information technology, information security and compliance to major corporations, government entities, hospitals and healthcare providers.

Using his combined knowledge of information technology, finance and healthcare he possesses the critical skills to analyze existing data and find missed revenue opportunities, work flow deficiencies and misapplied cost allocation issues that generate his clients millions per month in net dollars that were previously unobtainable.

His prior experience experience in groundbreaking mathematics was instrumental in developing the necessary algorithms, relational logic and reconciliation logic that is the core of the Prevalent™ system.

Duane K. Rossmann, MPH is a proven leader in health management with more than three decades of success in the health industry. His experience encompasses management of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers and physician practices. He has merger and acquisition experience in buying and selling hospitals, medical office buildings, surgery centers, physician practices and managed care plans. He has experience working in for-profit facilities as well as university teaching hospitals. His prior positions include hospital CEO, regional multi-facility oversight and as a consultant to clients in a variety of market sectors.  Mr. Rossmann holds a Masters Degree in Public Health with emphasis in Health Systems and Hospital Administration from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. He holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Iowa.  He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center in Houston, TX. Gulf Coast Regional is one of the largest blood distribution agencies in the United States. His employers through his career include HCA, HealthTrust, Surgis, University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Louisiana Texas Healthcare Management, and United Surgical Partners International.


Dr. John Vanderzyl picture

John Vanderzyl, MD A native Houstonian, Dr. Vanderzyl attended Strake Jesuit College Preparatory High School and received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University. He earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) Medical School. Dr. Vanderzyl then completed his residency training in family practice medicine at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital, where he served as chief resident. Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Vanderzyl has been in private practice in the Houston area since 1993. He cares for patients of all ages and focuses on preventive medicine and education.

He is a member of numerous professional organizations and is very active in the Texas Medical Association, having just completed a 5 year term on the Council of Socioeconomics. Dr. Vanderzyl supports several charitable organizations, including the Ronald McDonald House, Child Advocates of Fort Bend County and the American Cancer Society.
